85 participants with 10 travelling marshal crews enjoyed a grand day out on the 2024 Welland Valley Wander.
Starting from Beedles Lake Golf Course, the route went through Charnwood Forest to a refreshment stop at Cropston Pumping Station. From there, travelling across High Leicestershire to a lunch halt at Launde Abbey where organiser, Andrew Duerden, struggled to get participants to carry on as most were enjoying their picnic lunches in the glorious surroundings with lovely sunny weather.
The customary passage under the Welland Viaduct led crews back to a finish at Leicester Airport.
